Family Portraiture
Children and Family photography sessions last one hour at my studio in Shotts, Lanarkshire. We can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3/4 children within the studio. Larger groups can be catered for with prior arrangement, but will have to be an outside, location shoot. The session will be informal and relaxed to put you and your children at ease. 1 hour studio time includes all digital images from the shoot.
Fully Inclusive
We don’t believe that you should have to pay for the experience in the studio, then pay to actually get your pictures. That idea just doesn’t sit right with us. That’s why, as a standard, we include all edited digital images, watermark-free, with every studio package. You will have approximately 15 digital images at the end of your shoot.

How long does the shoot take?
1 hour.
Is everything included?
Yes! Your time, our editing time, all your edited digital images (approximately 15 images).
What’s your style of photography?
Our style of photography for families is very much as natural as possible. We will pose you, however will make you feel as comfortable as possible.
Do I need to bring anything?
No – if you have really young children, it can be worthwhile to pack an extra pair of clothes just in case there are any accidents. We advise you to wear complementing colours. Neutral colours work well. Try to avoid tops with big logos or brands written across them as they can often take over the image.
Have you got access to a toilet?
Yes, we have toilet facilities within the main house, which you are welcome to use. This is on the ground level.
Why do you have a limit on the numbers in the studio?
Simply space! We don’t have the required space to fit more than the above mentioned amounts in comfortably. We will arrange to meet bigger groups at an outdoor location, though, upon request.
How long is it before I receive my images?
We usually advise clients to allow up to 3 weeks for your gallery of images to be delivered. Usually you will have them before this, but just in case we are particularly busy, we like to make sure we set your expectations.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
We do ask for a £50 non-refundable deposit. This secures your session. It is also non-transferable so cannot be moved to another slot in the event you need to reschedule.
